The Observatory Welzheim is located in the Naturpark Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald near the health resort Stadt Welzheim and serves as the observatory of the Carl-Zeiss-Planetarium Stuttgart.

The observatory can be reached using the street from Schorndorf to Welzheim (L 1150). Before reaching Welzheim, exit in the direction Langenberg and follow the signs for „Sternwarte“.

There are signs for the parking lot „Sternwarte.“ From here, a path (430 m) leads to the observatory. Cars are not allowed on this path.
