Directions to Restaurant

From Conference Venue

Via S-Bahn & U-Bahn (recommended):

Estimated time ~ 35 minutes

Leave the venue, and follow the route back to the S-Bahn station Universität. Go to the platform for S1 towards Kirchheim, S2 towards Schorndorf & S3 towards Backnang. You can take any of these trains. Ride them for approximately 11 minutes, and get off at the station Hauptbahnhof. Take stairs, escalators or elevators up, following signs for the U-Bahn (blue U symbol), where you will arrive at an underground concourse (note - do not take the stairs directly at the back end of the platforms). More stairs and escalators will be in the middle of this concourse, leading down to the U-Bahn platforms. Take the set of stairs/escalators leading to platform 4, for the U5, U6, U7, U12 or U15.

Board any of these lines, and ride them for approximately 2 minutes, and get off at the station Charlottenplatz. Leave the station via the long ramp directly adjacent to where you got off, which will take you to a large tree-lined square, Karlsplatz. The restaurant is on the opposite corner of this square, at the corner of Dorotheenstraße and Münzstraße.

Via S-Bahn and on foot (alternative):

Estimated time ~ 45 minutes

Leave the IRS, and follow the route back to the S-Bahn platforms. Go to the platform for S1 towards Kirchheim, S2 towards Schorndorf & S3 towards Backnang. You can take any of these trains. Ride them for approximately 10 minutes, and get off at the station Stadtmitte. Follow exits towards Königstraße, the main shopping street of the city. From here it is around a 10-15 minute relatively flat walk to the restaurant, but using your own navigation is advised.

From Hotel Ibis

Via U-Bahn:

Estimated time ~ 20 minutes

Enter the station Maybachstraße, and board the U6 towards Flughafen/Messe. Ride this for approximately 11 minutes, and get off at the station Charlottenplatz. Leave the station via the long ramp directly adjacent to where you got off, which will take you to a large tree-lined square, Karlsplatz. The restaurant is on the opposite corner of this square, at the corner of Dorotheenstraße and Münzstraße.
